In response to Diane’s show from October 23, 2010 (get the podcast here):
UC Berkeley and UCSF were major medical academic training grounds in the early years in science and medicine. But the larger world of taking care of thousands of women, from Obstetrics to Gyn surgery, cancer survivor care, encouraging patients to pay attention to their feelings in the context of living and working every day, emphasizing healthy lifestyles for disease risk reduction, and seeking balance over time are themes that underlie my professional life. My recent “pocket guide to bioidentical hormones” really is an effort to educate, motivate and guide women to optimal health and self care in the second half of life. There are so many portals to help women help themselves; the book being another effort to reach out.
